What is the Walcheren village tour?

Every year on the first Tuesday of August from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.!

The Walcheren Village Tour is a cycle tour for young and old. The tour has been organised for more than 25 years and takes place every year on the first Tuesday of August. The proceeds from the cycle tour go to Terre des Hommes, an organisation dedicated to children's rights. Together, we are working to end the exploitation of children in developing countries.

The cycle tour covers a total distance of 55 to 60 km and winds through picturesque villages, past swaying cornfields to the city centre of Middelburg. Participants will pass a stamp post every five kilometres. These may be located at a mini campsite, a windmill, a theatre or a farm. At the stamp posts, there will be activities and local products on offer. Choose one of the eleven stamp posts to start the cycle tour.

Theme

Every year, the Walcheren Village Tour has a new, surprising theme, and we are already busy preparing for 2026! In the coming months, we will share more and more information so that you can start enjoying what is to come.

But one thing is already certain: this year's theme promises to be fantastic once again. Keep an eye on our updates and prepare to be surprised!
